Basingstoke driving test centre update
Still no news as to if / when the Basingstoke driving test centre will close.
Farnborough Multi Purpose Driving Test Centre (MPTC) opening 24/11/08
The new Multi Purpose Driving Test Centre (Unit C1, Cirrus, 35 Hercules Way, Aerospace Boulevard, Farnborough) will operate in Farnborough from 24th November 2008. The old Farnborough test centre closes on 16th November 2008.
New Show / Tell Questions from from 1st July 2008
New vehicle safety questions will be added to the practical driving test as from 1st July 2008 to more accurately reflect the need for candidates to have the skills and knowledge to ensure they and their vehicles are safe to be on the road. The new questions cover the use of wipers, demisters, brake lights, fog lights, head restraints, ABS warning lights and the correct operation of relevant controls and switches.
